Cell Phone Reflection
This gallery includes photographs taken by a OnePlus 2 cellphone on the first day of class. Top left image of birch bark is my favorite with a slight modification of a "Vintage" filter creating the warm mood. Photographing this birch with a DSLR is definitely on the to - do list. Considering the limitations of the cell phone camera most pictures came out without being pixelated. In my most difficult object to picture was the block puzzle. The backgrounds in the class didn't match with the contrasting colors of the blocks. Overall, the quality of the photos surprised me coming from a 4 year old phone.

Selfie & Reflection
I originally had another idea in mind when taking this picture: the snow had the perfect circle shape and size to photograph my eye looking through it. Unfortunately as soon as I was walking over after setting the picture delay, the snow shape melted from the sunlight behind. The photo composition is unchanged; I left the background out of focus as originally planned on the camera settings. I laughed and thought to turn it to an opportunity to show positivity instead of moving away from a mistake. Luckily my natural happiness was captured in the picture. It truly highlights my personality of seeing the positive in a negative situation.

Basics of Aperture Reflection
These photos were taken to highlight the different effects of setting both wide and narrow camera apertures. The top three picks from each set are above. Below show the differences between the wide and narrow camera apertures taken in the same location. The location of the first set is on the Siena campus, highlighting a Fir tree with the background containing an old telescope. The second set is taken on the grounds of a local soccer field, with a bush as a focal point and snow with more brush in the background. The third set is also on the soccer field grounds, overlooking a bridge with the forest in the distance.

Abstraction
Five scenarios to explore methods of abstraction in photography.
1. Single Point of Focus (1 Photograph) : Focused light source to enhance narrow focus on black object.
2. Textural Consideration (1 Photograph) : One texture inside of an object highlighting the detail.
3. Mono Chromatic (1 Photograph) : Color with abstraction shows contrast.
4. 2 Color Schemes (2 Photographs) : Using two colors to define different attributes between two photographs
5. Setting a Mood (5 Photographs) : Same object in five different moods. Minimal and Clean, Warm and Welcoming, Bold and Unexpected, Beautiful, Natural and Organic

Lighting
This picture set is taken to highlight the different ways lighting is used in photography. Using both natural light and light from hot lamps, and different directions the effects are evident.
